HOW DOES IT WORK?

A Clear, Proven Process That Removes Guesswork Before Construction Begins:

Every step is structured to resolve decisions early, reduce risk during installation, and ensure the finished work performs as intended long after completion.

Start With a Virtual Design Consultation:

FREE!

During a Facetime call I will assess the space you are looking to occupy. Having two people is recommended so one person can take very basic simple measurements and the other can pan the device as needed.  Measurements at this stage are preliminary and used for planning purposes only.  Any inspirational photos or sketches you may have created will be helpful at this time.

On Site Measurement and Design Capture:

$50.00

This stage involves scanning the space and capturing site measurements directly into the design environment. With this option you really jump ahead a bit in the design process as the scan to design feature allows me to get your project measured without anything required from you. There is a $50.00 charge for this service which can be rolled into your project cost if we do enter into an agreement.

Concept Design and Layout Development:

This is where your ideas begin to take shape, whether the consultation was conducted virtually or in person. You will have the opportunity to view your dimensions on a blank PDF and sketch what you want to see in the space. This can be a simple hand drawn sketch following the consult. This is a conceptual phase and does not require scaling or detailed drawings, only the elements you want included. This phase focuses on exploring layout and intent before committing to construction level decisions

Your Design Takes Visual Form:

Using the information you provide, our conversations about your goals, and relevant design references, a 3D model is developed to represent the proposed work. Once complete, an animation or selected views are shared to highlight the details necessary for accurate pricing and execution.

Design Decisions Are Finalized and Detailed:

During this phase, the design is refined to ensure all elements are represented clearly and accurately within the model. Adjustments are made as needed to confirm layout, proportion, and overall intent before the project moves into pricing.

Conceptual design work is scoped specifically for visualization and decision making, not construction documentation. This phase is typically completed efficiently, as it focuses on confirming design direction rather than resolving build-level details.

Clear, Detailed Pricing Based on Approved Design:

Once a conceptual design is approved, it is moved into the quoting phase. This process typically takes several business days, depending on the complexity of the project.

Investment and Cost Clarity:

If the project aligns with budget expectations, it moves forward to the next phase. If it does not, guidance is provided to help establish realistic budget ranges for similar work and alternative approaches. Whether we add features or remove features , changes at this phase are easily made.

Final Measurements and Design Verification:

At this stage, with budget approval in place, precise measurements are taken to eliminate uncertainty before fabrication. The site is verified using a refined measurement process developed to capture critical dimensions and conditions accurately.

Depending on the project, measurements may be captured through direct site verification, scan-to-design workflows, or on-site templating. This ensures all conditions are represented correctly in the model before production begins.

Site-Verified Model Is Developed:

At this stage, the conceptual design is converted into a site measured model that reflects verified dimensions and existing conditions. Any discrepancies identified during measurement are resolved within the model to ensure accuracy.

This phase focuses on confirming fit, alignment, and constructability before final approval. Once verified, the model is reviewed, approved, and prepared for transition into production.

Site-Verified Model Ready for Fabrication:

Before production begins, you have the opportunity to experience the design at full scale through a virtual reality walkthrough. This allows spatial relationships and functioevaluated in real time, with adjustments made as needed to confirm the final outcome.

Once the design is approved, it moves into production with all decisions verified in advance. Installation reflects the same level of planning, coordination, and attention to detail established throughout the design process

Design Is Fully Reviewed and Approved:

Before production begins, you have the opportunity to experience the design at full scale through a virtual reality walkthrough. This allows spatial relationships and functional details to be observed in real time, with adjustments made as needed to confirm the final outcome.

Once the design is approved, it moves into production with all decisions verified in advance. Installation reflects the same level of planning, coordination, and attention to detail established throughout the design process.

Approved Design Enters Fabrication:

Your project typically takes 8–9 weeks to complete. Prior to delivery, a few final coordination steps take place to ensure accuracy and alignment:

Six weeks before installation, paint colors or stain samples are selected and approved. Samples are provided as needed to confirm finish decisions.

Approximately one month before installation, a final set of shop drawings is issued for review and approval. These documents reflect all verified dimensions, details, and specifications required for fabricat

Professional On-Site Installation:

Installation is scheduled approximately three weeks in advance to coordinate access and logistics. On site, experienced carpenters install directly from finalized shop drawings and verified models used throughout the design process.

Trim intersections, hardware alignment, fastening details, and finish touch ups are addressed as part of the installation scope. A final quality control review is completed before project closeout, allowing you to transition immediately into use of the finished space.
